Man Utd boss Solskjaer aware of Rashford burnout fears (& knee doubt)

Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is aware of burnout concerns for Marcus Rashford.

Rashford, 21, has started all six league games since Solskjaer took charge and scored five goals.

Solskjaer subbed Rashford in injury time of Saturday's 2-1 win over Brighton, noting how fatigued the striker looked.

He said: “He was tired towards the end because his work-rate is unbelievable."

Rashford had also suffered a knock to his knee which will be assessed this week.

But he is expected to be fit for Friday's trip to Arsenal for the FA Cup fourth-round clash.

It is not just Rashford suffering late in games owing to the intense, high-pressing game Solskjaer has imposed at the club.

Solskjaer said: “I have to be fair to the boys, I do demand a lot of sprinting and high press because we are Man United.

“Maybe the last two games it has caught up with a few but we have got another week to be ready for Arsenal, so we will be ready for Arsenal."
