Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has addressed for the first time missing the signing of Erling Haaland.

The former RB Salzburg striker was expected to join his former Molde coach at Old Trafford, but instead signed with Borussia Dortmund.

Asked after defeat at Arsenal about the pursuit, Solskjaer told VG: "Yes, it's closed.

"Dortmund has signed a fantastic boy. I can't answer anything more than that."

Later, speaking to the wider media in the post-match presser, Solskjaer confirmed plans to be active this month.

He also stated: "If someone is available and it is possible, we will definitely do something. We're looking at one or two."
