Manchester United boss David Moyes says he's never experienced such a run of bad luck.
United's defeat at Stoke City occurred after Phil Jones and Jonny Evans were forced off early with injury.
Asked if he'd ever had such a run of bad luck in his managerial career Moyes said: "Never as bad as this one.
"I'm a football guy and I know how it works and you take it as it comes and goes but I think this has been quite a long sustained period.
"But I don't rely on luck, I believe you earn your luck by how hard you work on the things you do.
"You've got to turn it yourself - you can't expect, you can't be relying on referee's decisions.
So I would rather try and work a bit harder and hope we get a bit luckier."
