Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho was happy with Ashley Young's performance for victory over FA Cup opponents Blackburn Rovers.

Young impressed in United's 2-1 at Blackburn to send them into the FA Cup quarter-finals.

Mourinho said: “Some players, for example Ashley Young, can I rest Antonio Valencia? Oh yes, I can if Ashley Young plays this way.

“When I have people performing it is easier to make rotation.

“We are going to fight for that (to stay in all four) but the League Cup is the one we have 50 per cent possibilities to win.

“And the next one is to get a result against Saint-Etienne and be in the last 16 (of the Europa League)."
