Man Utd boss Mourinho: Salah has changed way Liverpool play

Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho says stopping Mohamed Salah will be key to beating Liverpool today.

Despite success against Salah last season, Mourinho doesn't believe they've got his number – especially as Liverpool have tailored their play even more to get the best out of their £34 million striker.

“Those were different matches. They had Philippe Coutinho then, and Coutinho was playing as a fake-left sided player. He was always coming inside to play between the lines.

“It was a completely different dynamic. At this moment, Salah sometimes plays from the right. Other times he plays as the striker with Roberto Firmino dropping behind him.

“They have so many possibilities to try to get the best out of Salah."

But while the United boss is intent on keeping one eye on Salah and the rest of Klopp's confident stars, he wants his own players to put in a performance too.

“We have to think about Salah and try to give him at least a difficult match. But in spite of it, we want to play our own game as well."
