Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho hasn't dropped his interest for Real Madrid defender Raphael Varane.
The Manchester Evening News says Mourinho, 53, signed Eric Bailly, Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Paul Pogba in the summer transfer window, but is said to be already making transfer plans for January.
He is keen to bolster his defensive ranks further and has set his sights on Fabinho of Monaco and Real Madrid's Varane.
United were reportedly interested in the French centre-back this summer before manager Zinedine Zidane convinced him to stay in Spain.
Varane fell down the pecking order at the Bernabeu at the end of last season but has started their first three games of this campaign.
