Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho kept a cardboard cut-out of himself in his office at Real Madrid, it has been revealed.
In Andrew Kirby's book “Jose Mourinho: Best Manager in the World" , it's explained why Mourinho had the life-size cardboard image in his Valdebebas office.
"Instead of a statue to a museum, Mourinho had a life-sized cardboard model of himself in his office at Real Madrid's training ground," the 2016 book reads.
“It was him sprinting across the Camp Nou turf with his finger in the air at the end of the 2010 Champions League semi-final.
“But he did not have the cut-out installed in his office for any kind of self-love.
“No, Jose had it as a permanent reminder of his own story and as a mission statement.
“The cut-out showed him celebrating 'the moment Inter Milan reached their first European Cup final in almost forty years."
