Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho has said he feels as if good defending has become a crime after he side ground out a 1-0 away win over Benfica on Wednesday night.
The Portuguese has been criticised all week for his defensive tactics in United's 0-0 draw with Liverpool last Saturday.
Although the tactics were not as blatant, the win over Benfica was a dour affair, but Mourinho believes his side should be applauded for putting on another solid defensive display.
"We were in control, David de Gea did not have one save to make. I never felt we could concede a goal and were solid defensively.
"Sometime I feel being good defensively is a crime, but that is a way of getting results.
"We are one point from qualifying and one victory away from winning the group with two games at home to play. A good game, solid."
