Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho has delivered an upbeat injury report on Juan Mata and Matteo Darmian after victory over Real Salt Lake.

Mata was among the players who came on for the second half but he was forced off shortly before the hour mark. Darmian picked up a knock in the 89th minute of the game, limping off and walking straight down the tunnel.

At the post-match press conference, Mourinho said: “Mata has a big ankle but I hope it is nothing important. A few days, a week, probably. Darmian's problem is not an important one."

Romelu Lukaku scored his first goal for the club in the 2-1 win.
