Man Utd boss Mourinho calm over Bailly African Cup absence

Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho is calm over Eric Bailly's African Cup of Nations commitments.

The Sun says the major problem coming over the hill for him is the loss of the already impressive Eric Bailly to the African Cup of Nations in the New Year where he will represent the Ivory Coast.

The competition lasts from January 14 to February 5th potentially ruling him out of six games in the league and domestic cups.

Even with Bailly out England international Chris Smalling can step in alongside Daley Blind as could Phil Jones or Marcus Rojo which is why he didn't want them leaving this month.
