Man Utd boss Ferguson praises Beckham, Henry after MLS All-Stars clash

Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson praised David Beckham after defeating the MLS All-Stars 4-0 last night.

The LA Galaxy star captained the MLS team in New York against his former club.

"I thought David Beckham did pretty well," Ferguson said. "Thirty-six years of age and he still has great energy.

"Thierry Henry showed that change of pace - he's still a great threat. The wide right player [Omar Cummings] was a real handful in the first half."

Added MLS All-Stars coach Hans Backe, "I think David was phenomenal. He's so, so competitive. Being around the world playing, he's still very hungry."
