Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson is happy Wayne Rooney is with the England camp this week.
Ferguson is convinced a few days away with England will give Rooney a fresh start, says the News of the World.
The United boss is currently re-charging his batteries in New York. Six days in England's Watford HQ might not carry quite the glamour of the Big Apple but it could provide Rooney with just the impetus he needs to kick-start his laboured season.
Ferguson has recognised the benefits of loaning Rooney to the country.
He could have blocked the call from Fabio Capello, using Rooney's ankle injury as an excuse to rest his striker.
Instead he hopes that Rooney will return refreshed, ready to be unleashed on Premier League defences again.
