Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson has admitted his admiration for Champions League opponents Arsenal.
"He took some criticism but that is the nature of the beast these days," Ferguson said.
"You lose two games and you get criticised. It's unfortunate but it happens. I got criticised for last Sunday's team selection against Everton. That's the nature of people today. They are more cynical than 30, 40 years ago.
"Arsene, though, has stuck to his principles. What has helped them recently is that they have brought freshness back into the team.
"Adebayor, Fabregas, Walcott and van Persie have all been out for spells but they are back now - and fresh.
"They are also a competitive team. They play good football but they are not soft touches."
