Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson has paid tribute to fullback Patrice Evra.

One bonus for United's much criticised backline has been the unexpected goals from Evra and Jonny Evans so far this season.

He said: "It is quite amazing. I think Patrice only had two before this season now he has four and Jonny has four.

"Jonny only scored his first goal last year against Wolves so in a year he has quadrupled that. It has been surprising but at least we know it's a contribution from them. We will take goals from anywhere."
