Man Utd blow as van Persie out of weekend game

Manchester United striker Robin van Persie is sidelined for Saturday's game at West Ham United because of injury, boss David Moyes has revealed. The 30 year old was stretchered off with a knee injury in the closing stages after scoring a Champions League hat-trick against Olympiakos on Wednesday.

"We are getting him re-scanned again today because there was nothing conclusive," says Moyes at his pre-match news conference.

"He won't be available for tomorrow's game. We will give you an update as soon as we can."
