Man Utd blow as McTominay could miss eight weeks

Manchester United could be without star midfielder Scott McTominay for nearly two months.

The Scottish international has emerged as a key player for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side this season.

But he suffered a knee injury against Newcastle United and could be out for eight weeks, per the Daily Mail.

Manager Solskjaer had initially said that McTominay would miss a month, but it appears the situation could be worse.

United do have Nemanja Matic and Paul Pogba at or close to full fitness, which eases the blow.

But losing McTominay during the busiest period of the season will pose an unfortunate challenge for the top four chasing club.
