Manchester United had an offer for Real Madrid midfielder Toni Kroos turned down over the summer.
Okdiario says United expressed a keen interest in Kroos during the summer transfer window. Indeed, on recommendation of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, United submitted an offer of €75m to their counterparts in Madrid.
Real president Florentino Pérez would have been tempted to accept, before Zinedine Zidane dropped his veto.
Other directors sided with Zidane on this issue, forcing Perez to change his tune by extending the contract of Kroos to June 2023.
