Man Utd begin new contract talks with Raiola for Pogba

Manchester United have opened talks with agent Mino Raiola about a new deal for Paul Pogba.

Pogba has just over one year left on his United deal and will be able to negotiate a free transfer with other clubs from January should his contract situation remain the same.

Sky Sports says United have opened up negotiations with Pogba's representatives over an extension.

United triggered an automatic one-year extension clause to the original five-year contract he signed when the rejoined the club in the summer of 2016 for a then-world record fee.

As such he has just over a year to run on his current arrangement.

The midfielder is currently preparing for the European Championships with France, with the summer tournament beginning on Friday night.
