Man Utd, Barcelona target Feghouli set to sign new Valencia contract

Siofiane Feghouli is set to disappoint potential suitors by stating his desire to commit to Valencia.

The Algerian winger has been linked with Manchester United and Barcelona in recent times but has revealed that he is planning to sign a new deal with Los Che, essentially ruling out a summer exit from the Mestalla.

"It takes time, for the simple and valid reason that both sides are looking for the deal," Feghouli said of his contract talks.

"There have been players renewing before me, so I'm the last one. I want to extend my adventure with Valencia, I'm happy here and in this league and I love the city and the fans.

"There are details as to why the club and my representatives haven't reached agreement. I'm positive and patient, but both parties have to be happy. There's no reason to break apart.

"I'm at a top club. There aren't many bigger. I see myself here for the long-term. The grass isn't always greener elsewhere.

"I'm not uneasy about my future. I know my qualities, my potential, and what I'm capable of.

"I know the club wants me and I want to stay. That's the most important. There's no reason to be nervous."

The France-born 26-year-old joined Valencia from Grenoble in 2010 and has since amassed 190 appearances which have produced 30 goals and 38 assists.
