Manchester United forward Anthony Martial has given an insight into talks with a fellow attacking teammate.

The Frenchman, who is fully fit for the resumption of the Premier League season, will be hoping to make his mark for Erik ten Hag's side.

Martial indicated that he recently had a chat with teammate Bruno Fernandes about the rest of the campaign.

"We always had that connection between us and we both just have to keep working to improve it," Martial told the club website.

“Well, that [assists] is something we always talk about.

“As he left to take part in the World Cup, I was telling him to make sure that he comes home in good shape.

“And he would say, of course, lots of assists are coming your way. That's one of the things about sport, that chat."
