The Daily Mai says he will leave Aston Villa at the end of the season - regardless of Tim Sherwood's recent arrival.
Vlaar's contract is due to expire in just four-months' time, and any chance of him signing an extension look to have evaporated.
Manchester United, Arsenal and Southampton are monitoring the situation.
