Manchester United are lining up a move for Bayern Munich defender David Alaba, reports have claimed.
The Austrian, who can also operate in central midfield, will be a free agent at the end of this season after rejecting a new contract with Bayern.
Manchester City and Chelsea have both been linked with the 28-year-old, as have PSG, Barcelona and Real Madrid.
And German outlet SportBild says United are firmly in the race for Alaba's signature.
Alaba's versatility is an attractive prospect for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
At 5ft 11in, Alaba can operate at left-back, centre-back and central midfield.
