Manchester United have added Bayer Leverkusen star Kai Havertz to their shopping list.
United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is seeking attacking midfielders for the summer market and sees Havertz as an alternative to Leicester City ace James Maddison, says the Evening Standard.
Havertz declared just last week he was ready to leave Bayer this summer, knowing Bayern Munich and European champions Liverpool are keen.
He told BILD: "I am ready to take a big step and I like challenges. For me, this also includes abroad.
"I am happy to leave forecasts of the transfer market to others."
On Bayer, Havertz added: “Leverkusen is a great club, I feel good. I always said that. But of course I want to take my next step in my career at some point. That is my claim."
