Wayne Rooney has committed to a new contract with Manchester United.The Sun says United have extended Rooney's contract which makes the 28-year-old the highest paid player in Premier League history.
The deal is said to be worth a massive £70m.
United chief executive Ed Woodward, who has been speaking with Rooney's camp for the past fortnight, has been under pressure to secure his signature and this development will ease the scrutiny he has come under since last summer's transfer market flop.
