Man Utd ace Rashford planning US marketing blitz

Manchester United striker Marcus Rashford is trademarking his name in the US.

The Sun reports the 22-year-old has filed official documents that would allow him to market hundreds of products.

The report adds that a marketing cood could range from deodorants and shaving gel to binoculars, sports bags and computer games.

The same outlet claims the application to the US Patent and Trademark Office has been accepted and will be published in America's Trademark Official Gazette on Tuesday.

The application will then be approved unless anyone with an objection comes forward to to lodge a complaint within the next 30 days.

The news comes on the heels of the United star receiving an honorary doctorate from the University of Manchester this summer for his campaign against child poverty.
