Manchester United striker Marcus Rashford admits James Maddison was the inspiration behind his Carabao Cup winner at Chelsea.

He found the top corner from 35 yards in the 2-1 Carabao Cup win over Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

Rashford took to Instagram to celebrate his and United's success, and dedicated his goals to his agent Dwaine Maynard.

He posted: "Class win. Class support. Class night. Hope you enjoyed your bday @dwainemaynard."

Leicester midfielder Maddison replied: "Nah that free kick."

And Rashford responded: "@madders been watching you mate."
