Manchester United midfielder Bruno Fernandes spent the weekend with his former teammates at Sporting CP.

The former Sporting captain left Lisbon in January for United.

He explained, "I took the opportunity to visit those who were my teammates, staff and everyone who worked with me for two and a half years.

"I made a point of coming back, even if it was just for a little time - as it was. I will always miss them ... It's a short time, but you have to understand that it's time to work for them, in my rest period and we have to respect that.

"The most important thing was to give each of them a hug."
