Man City youth coach Barry-Murphy a target for QPR

Manchester City academy coach Brian Barry-Murphy is a target for QPR.

The R's see Barry-Murphy as a replacement for former manager Michael Beale after his move to Rangers, says the Daily Mail.

A former Ireland under-21 international and defensive midfielder, Barry-Murphy played professionally for over 20 years, starting out at Cork City before representing the likes of Preston, Sheffield Wednesday, Bury and Rochdale.

He began his managerial career at Rochdale, initially as a caretaker, and impressed due to his style of football and improvement and promotion of young players which brought him to City's attention.

Barry-Murphy led City's second string to the Premier League 2 title last season in his first campaign in charge.
