Manchester City youngster Matthew Smith is pleased with his progress on-loan at FC Twente.
Speaking about his risky move to Twente, Smith spoke positively of the education he has undergone this season and how he hopes it will fire him on to further success at City.
"I'm seeing football in a different way to some people," Smith told BBC Sport Wales.
"I've got to be realistic with it and and think if there is a pathway to the first-team at Manchester City - then fantastic. That is the best possible situation.
"If not then we have to start looking around, what is best for me, best for my pathway to success. At the moment I've still got a long way to go, for me, before I can really say I am a professional footballer.
"I want loads more football, more first-team minutes and loads more caps."
