Manchester City winger Riyad Mahrez has fired a warning at Liverpool after victory at Everton.
The Algeria international was a constant headache for the Everton defenders and scored a pivotal goal when his low driven free-kick beat Jordan Pickford to make the score 2-1.
Victory against the Merseysiders ensured the gap between Liverpool at the top of the table remains five points after Jurgen Klopp's men secured a win against Sheffield United earlier in the day.
Mahrez told Sky Sports: "No, I think we're used to this, last year it was a head-to-head with them we had to win every game and this year is the same.
"We are built to try and win every game, so whatever they do, if they win or they lose, we have to win.
"We don't look at the table, we just focus on ourselves and have a perfect game.
"It looks better but there's still a lot of games to play, I think it's 93 points to play so still a lot of points to take yet."
