Manchester City youngster Phil Foden does not want to see teammate David Silva leave.
The latter announced the upcoming season as being his last for the Premier League side.
Foden, who competes with Silva for a midfield starting berth, does not want his senior teammate to depart.
Speaking about Silva eventually leaving, the 19-year-old said to reporters: "It's going to be a shame.
"I'm not thinking about that too much because I don't want it to happen. He's here now so let's try and be happy.
"He's still a great player, you could see on Wednesday how sharp he is even at the age he is. He's still a special player."
