Manchester City are ready to pounce for unhappy AC Milan midfielder Rino Gattuso.
The Mirror says Gattuso opened the door for a transfer to Mark Hughes's Manchester City - by demanding showdown talks with AC Milan.
Gattuso admitted he will reconsider his future at the club in the New Year if he does not get more playing time, with City keen to take him on loan with a view to a full-time move.
The fiery star said: "I am Rino Gattuso and I cannot wait for someone to get injured in order to play. I would be lying if I said that everything is okay."
Gattuso has told pals that it is time to go - with his hope that City will sort out terms and the move is on despite denials from the club and even his agent.
