Man City wait as Kane rules himself out of Spurs Prem opener

Harry Kane is out of Tottenham's Premier League kickoff next week.

The Daily Mail says Kane has effectively ruled himself out of Tottenham's season opener against Manchester City - the team he wants to join - by spending another day outside the UK.

Kane stopped in Florida on his way back from a family holiday in the Bahamas, despite being due to report for pre-season training on Monday.

And as we also revealed, his no-show has disappointed Tottenham, who were still awaiting confirmation of his return to England on Wednesday - with Kane understood to have remained in Florida.

Kane will need to isolate for up to 10 days upon his return, but he can take a 'test to release' procedure on day five, which would end his quarantine provided he tests negative. He intends to take the day five test.

Despite this, the fact Kane was still in Florida on Wednesday means he will not resume training until at least the start of next week.
