Manchester City midfielder David Silva has turned down a bumper offer from Vissel Kobe.
The Times says the big spending J-League outfit tabled Silva a lucrative contract offer to move to Japan this summer.
However, Silva has chosen to stay with City and see out his current deal - which runs to the end of next season.
Should the 33 year-old stay with City to 2020, it will mark a decade with the club for the former Valencia midfielder.
Silva's decision is a relief to manager Pep Guardiola, whose midfield remains reliant on the veteran.
