Manchester City youth chief Enzo Maresca is being linked with the manager's job at Celtic.

The Daily Record says the current Manchester City under-23 coach is remaining quiet on the prospect of taking charge in Glasgow's east end according to reports.

It's his job to bring through the future talent for the Premier League leaders in his Elite Development Squad role, but could look to go it alone for the first time after spells as a number two.

It would be a similar path to that of Steven Gerrard, who left behind the Liverpool youth set-up for the top job at Rangers.
