Manchester City are looking to reshuffle their defence as they prepare to welcome Pep Guardiola to the club.
According to The Sun, City are determined to lure two quality centre-backs to the Etihad Stadium this summer and are prepared to spend up to £80million to make that happen.
Everton young gun John Stones has been linked with the Citizens all season and is expected to be the subject of an offer in the region of £40m in the next transfer window.
Likewise, promising Athletic Bilbao central defender Aymeric Laporte comes with a £40m valuation which City are prepared to meet.
Reports suggest Guardiola wants ball-playing centre-halves at City and Stones and Laporte fit the bill as he plans to overhaul the squad he is set to inherit from Manuel Pellegrini.
