Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany was again struck down by injury on Wednesday night.
The Belgian centre-back, who has been restricted to 22 appearances this season because of calf problems, was struck down inside 10 minutes of City's eventual 1-0 loss to Real Madrid in the Champions League semi-final second leg at the Santiago Bernabeu.
However, it appears as though it is not his lower leg this time but perhaps his groin, as City boss Manuel Pellegrini alluded to, while the Chilean admitted that the club will not know more on Kompany until Thursday.
"It is not the best thing to change the defender but our problem is that we were not very creative in the final third," he said after City's European journey ended at the penultimate stage.
"We will see how Vincent is tomorrow."
