Manchester City are interested in River Plate midfielder Fernando Quintero.

The Colombia international has been tracked by Real Madrid since the World Cup and been linked with a January move to Spain.

However, Colombia's Antena 2 says City are also interested in Quintero as manager Pep Guardiola seeks to expand his midfield options.

Quintero is on-loan at River from Porto and helped the Argentines win the Copa Libertadores this month.

The midfielder has also past experience in Italy with Pescara.
