Man City threaten Man Utd plans for Leeds midfielder Kalvin Phillips

Manchester City are interested in Leeds United midfielder Kalvin Phillips.

The Mirror says City could challenge Manchester United for the signing of Phillips.

United have already made efforts in their pursuit of the Leeds midfielder as they prioritise midfield signings this summer.

But City manager Pep Guardiola has identified Phillips as a potential replacement for Fernandinho, who will leave the Etihad at the end of the season.

City are said to have sent scouts to watch the 26-year-old a number of times this season, with Phillips potentially available should Leeds be relegated this weekend.
