Manchester City are threatening Liverpool plans for Sevilla defender Diego Carlos.

City are interested in the Brazilian as Pep Guardiola searches for a new defender this summer.

The report adds that Liverpool are also on the look-out for a centre-back after allowing Dejan Lovren to leave Anfield this week.

If City want Carlos, he will cost at least €60m, and has a €75m release clause in his contract.
