Manchester City are eyeing Inter Milan striker Lautaro Martinez.
Barcelona and Inter have been haggling over the structure of a fee for Lautaro to the value of his €111m buyout clause.
But Sky Sports says City are jumping into the race for the striker's signature.
City see the Argentina international as an eventual successor for Sergio Aguero, though the plan would be for Lautaro to play alongside El Kun next season.
And with Inter holding out for €111m to sell, City's greater spending power offers them an advantage over Barca in the battle for the striker's signature.
