Manchester City have canceled the contract of goalkeeper David Gonzalez.
The 29-year old Colombian joined City in 2009 from Huracan but never managed a competitive first team appearance.
Last year, Gonzalez spent time on loan with Leeds United before becoming Aberdeen's number one for most of the first half of this season but his services are no longer required at Eastlands.
Along with Gonzalez, City have also released Germany U16 keeper Loris Karius to allow him to join Mainz permanently.
"The club would like to wish both players the very best for the future," read a short statement on the club's official website.
