Wolfsburg sporting director Klaus Allofs has poured cold water on rumours suggesting the club may swap Kevin De Bruyne for Bayern Munich's Mario Gotze.
Wolfsburg reportedly value De Bruyne in the vicinity of £50million, with Manchester City understood to be interested in signing the 24-year-old.
A potential swap deal for German international Gotze has also been suggested in recent days, but Allofs was quick to rule out that possibility.
"Player exchange deals do not always make sense," Allofs was quoted as saying by Kicker.
"Gotze has a lot of qualities, he has shown that at Borussia Dortmund and with Germany. He has yet to make an impact at Bayern. "But we are not even considering swapping any one. I am satisfied with the situation as it is."
