Manchester City are turning their attention from one Atletico Madrid player to another.
The Citizens were linked with a move for Saul Niguez.
However, Onda Cero now reports they are more interested in his midfield teammate Rodri.
The 22-year-old has been impressive alongside Saul and Thomas Partey in midfield.
And it appears he has a €70m release clause that would make a transfer tempting for City, even if Atletico refuse to negotiate his sale.
Rodri is seen as the next Sergio Busquets for Spain, while Pep Guardiola wants him to compete with Fernandinho at the base of City's midfield.
