Bernardo Silva says Manchester City players want to prove their manager wrong.
Guardiola has played down City's chances of winning the Champions League, saying they are "teenagers" compared to more experienced sides like Barcelona and Juventus.
But an impressive 10-2 aggregate win over Schalke puts them in the quarter finals. And Bernardo admits the players want to keep showing Guardiola what they can do.
"Of course we will try to prove him wrong," said the Portugal international to reporters.
"We know it is a difficult competition, a special competition against the best teams in Europe. But we players will try to prove him wrong.
"It is a young team. Most of the team is young – with the hunger for titles.
"To have a team where all the players can make a difference and have an important role I think is our biggest strength."
