Man City star De Bruyne takes swipe at 'fake' Euro2020: It's a business...

Manchester City star Kevin De Bruyne has slammed Euro2020 as a "fake competition".

The continental tournament was expanded in its last version to accommodate 24 teams instead of 16.

In 2020 it will be played in 12 different cities across Europe, which De Bruyne feels is a cop out.

"It's a shame," he told VTM Nieuws after scoring twice in Tuesday's 6-1 win over Cyprus.

"For me, this feels like a fake competition. Football has become more and more [like] a business."
