Manchester City are interested in Sampdoria wing-back Reto Ziegler.
Datasport says City have made enquiries after Sampdoria full-back Ziegler.
He starred for Switzerland in the World Cup, including a 1-0 victory over Spain, and can play as either a full-back or further up the wing.
Ziegler already has experience of the Premier League thanks to his time at Tottenham Hotspur.
