Man City skipper Tevez: I will quit Europe in three years

Manchester City captain Carlos Tevez plans to retire from European football in three years.

The 27-year-old will have no hesitation about returning to South America in 2014 to be with his little girls, Florencia and Katia, who he sees only every two to three months.

"They are growing up so fast, thousands of miles away and I'm not there to see it," he told the Daily Mail. "It's hard to come home after a game to an empty house, when I'm upset or nervous, to be without them.

"That's why I will be done with Europe in three years. It's a huge effort mentally to do it but, at 31, I will be finished in Europe.

"People think I should be happy because I have everything but I can't buy time with my daughters and my family. Do you think money solves everything? It solves nothing.

"It is not easy to live in Manchester and my children to be in Buenos Aires."
