Man City signing Yan Couto knows he can earn Coritiba massive bonus

Manchester City signing Yan Couto has revealed he could earn Coritiba an extra €6m.

The Brazilian right-back was signed by the Blues earlier this year having been tracked by club scouts over a number of years. City have paid Brazilian club Coritiba, also known as Coxa, an initial €6m to secure the player's services from next season.

His main aim, however, is to make the City first team and Coritiba will double their money on the 17-year-old if he makes five appearances in either the Premier League or Champions League over the course of his five-year contract.

"The clause is to [play] five Champions League or Premier League games in five years. I hope you can do it, then the amount doubles," the defender told Gazeta do Povo. "I think it is very possible and Coxa will win the other part of the money."
