New Manchester City signing Rodri is excited at the prospect of playing for Pep Guardiola.

City completed the signing of the defensive midfielder by paying his buyout clause, which was €70 million.

The former Atletico Madrid player is excited to hit the ground running for City in the Premier League.

The 23-year-old admitted that he had enjoyed watching City under Guardiola in the past few seasons.

"I like this football so I like watching City games and learn. I don't watch too much football, but in England I try to watch City matches," he said to reporters after signing for City.

"Since Pep has arrived, it was quite a radical change to the way City play.

"They have become one of the most feared teams in Europe. City don't just play pretty football, they can hurt you in the final third and score goals."
